Miami Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces


Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess a State of Florida Professional Engineer license. A minimum of three to five years of professional engineering experience to include experience with environmental compliance and remediation is required. Must possess a Driver's License.

This position will be tasked with the management of projects that entail environmental permitting, design, and construction, which fall under environmental, federal, state, and county regulations (i.e., EPA, DOT, RCRA, OSHA, FDEP, Miami-Dade County, etc.). Tasks will require coordination with Miami Dade-County’s Division of Environmental Resource Management (DERM) and regulatory agencies.


Experience with DEP and DERM criteria as related to contaminated groundwater and soil, and in the design and review of engineering control plans is preferred. Experience with projects related to land designations such as NFC EEL Coastal and sea level rise, and experience in preparing Environmental Site Assessment studies and Remediation Plans is preferred.
