About the Department:

The construction management and engineering degree programs at NDSU started in 1969 with strong support from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of North Dakota. CM&E offers an ABET accredited BS in Construction Engineering, an ACCE accredited BS in Construction Management, a Masters of Science in Construction Management and an online Master of Construction Management. In collaboration with the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, CM&E also offers a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in construction engineering. Assistant Professor in Construction Management and Engineering



The Department of Construction Management and Engineering (CM&E) at North Dakota State University (NDSU) invites applications for one tenure-track position in construction engineering and management at the rank of Assistant Professor. Exceptional candidates will be considered for a higher rank. Candidates are expected to teach three to four courses per year among the general construction engineering and construction management curricula, to maintain an active research agenda, and to provide student advising and committee services. Individuals with expertise in construction materials, automation in construction, virtual design and construction (VDC), or big data are especially encouraged to apply. The anticipated start date is August 16, 2021.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Ph.D. degree in construction management, construction engineering, architectural engineering, civil engineering or other closely related construction disciplines; demonstrated teaching and research capabilities; and effective oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years of relevant continuous construction industry experience; relevant professional registration and/or certifications (PE or CPC); college level teaching experience; externally funded research and peer reviewed publications; ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a diversity of students and colleagues.
