Summary: The Document Control Manager is responsible for maintaining the flow of formal documentation throughout the design and construction process Responsibilities: Responsible to process all submittals and input into Aconex. Maintain updated Submittal Log, monitor the submittal schedule and status. Input RFI’s (Requests for Information) into Aconex. Submit and track all submittals and correspondence to owner through Aconex. Receive, log, and track plans and specifications as received including all revisions, Distribute plans and specifications to contractor personnel as well as subcontractors. Maintain all hard copy files of project documentation. Maintain electronic copy files of project documentation. Process and maintain files for change order requests, change orders, contracts, scope changes, and payment applications in an orderly and updated manner. Track and file project photos. Maintain project FTP site. Work with superintendents, engineers, and administration as required. Work with Owner’s representatives as required. Other miscellaneous duties to support engineering department. Support Construction Manager, Superintendents, and Construction Engineers in regards to submittals, RFI’s, drawings, specifications, and other project documents. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Qualifications: 5 or more years in construction in similar position with similar responsibilities Proven knowledge of construction documents including handling submittals. Knowledge of the construction process, proven ability in planning, organizing and implementing work priorities to ensure the orderly flow of construction documentation throughout the construction process Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating directly with engineers and administrative staff. Proven to be a self-motivated thinker when assigned long term tasks Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency in other construction industry standard software packages is a strong plus Experience and proficiency in Aconex software is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and superintendents needed. Strength in working with details required
