DRAGADOS TITLE: SR. Project Accountant Division/Deapartment: Finance/Accounting Reports to: Finance Controller Location: CA High Speed Rail CP 2-3 Joint Venture Project Selma, CA Summary: The Sr. Project Accountant works closely with the Accounting and Finance Team on various day-to-day projects, reports, and activities within the job function. This position will report directly to the Finance Controller and have some oversight over the other members in the department. Primary Responsibilities: Oversee the accountability of the Project and report to the Finance Controller Cost Allocation Supervision - ensure proper allocation of costs to jobs, including performing accounting of fixed assets, depreciation, tax provisions, prepaid isurances, raw materials and payroll costs and ensure the proper calculation of accruals. Perform Bank Reconciliations for Project accounts and Petty Cash reconciliation. Prepare State and Federal Tax Returns and Business License Renewals as needed. Prepare/Oversee Monthly, Quarterly and Annual State and Federal Withholding and tax reporting forms. Prepare and Adjust Journal entries as needed. Oversee the calculation and recording of Accounts Payable Accruals on a monthly basis. Oversee the payment of Accounts Payable to ensure compliance with the Agreements and Prompt Payment Act. Reconcile Accounts Payable per the General Ledger. Ensure accuracy and completeness of Master Data Files within the Accounting/Finance Department. Oversee the accuracy of the log of Preliminary Notices filed by Sub-tiers and collection of Liens/Waivers. Coordinate monthly accounting close with the Finance/Accounting team. Assistance in preparation of Monthly Financial Reports. Ensure compliance with the internal procedures of the Company. Assistance with the year end Audit. Perform other duties as assigned and required Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration Minimum of 5-7 years experience in Accounting/Finance Experience in Construction Contract Accounting preferred but not required Strong Computer Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Experience with ERP-like software systems Ability to multi-task in high pressure and ever evolving environment Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills Ability to follow through on committments and projects Strong planning, organization, and administrative skills DRAGADOS USA, INC.
