Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Estimator in development of construction estimates for Heavy Highway, Underground, Dam and Rail projects.  This position will be based out of our West Division office located in Henderson, NV.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Read and understand Construction Plans and Specifications
  • Perform quantity takeoffs
  • Coordinate procurement of subcontract/material quotes
  • Develop work plans for construction
  • Estimate entry in HCSS Heavy Bid software
  • Assist in development of project schedules
  • Site Visits for potential projects
  • Attend Pre-bid meetings
  • Analyze data from completed projects

Qualifications:

  • Years’ of experience will weigh differently depending on a combination of specialized background & educational experience  
  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • Field Experience on Construction Projects a plus:  Heavy Highway, Underground, Dam, Rail
  • HCSS Heavy Bid Software
  • P6 Scheduling
  • Agtek Modeling
  • Understanding Plans and Specification for Civil Construction
