Schiavone Construction Co. is one of New York Metropolitan area's foremost construction companies with major infrastructure contracts for tunnels, mass transit, bridges and highways. Schiavone is part of the Dragados Inversiones USA, S.L. family of companies, itself a subsidiary of Dragados S.A. one of the largest Spanish construction contractors in the world. The Risk Manager's primary responsibility is coordinating the company's insurance needs through corporate insurance program, renewal process, and all other interaction between our brokers and insurers. Responsibilities: Lead the review and placement of insurance policies on a project specific basis Develop and maintain external relationships with insurance brokers and insurance carrier partners Assist business leaders in the review and negotiation of agreements including owner agreements, design agreements, subcontracts, leases etc. Oversee the risk analysis, accurate pricing, and placement of insurance coverage for all new project pursuits Required Skills and Qualifications: Contract review experience Experience with a corporate insurance program including Casualty, Professional, Pollution and Builder’s Risk/Property insurance Insurance industry designations (CPCU, CRIS, CIC, ARM etc.) helpful, but not necessary Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team based environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Proficient in Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) programs and database Extremely well organized and strong attention to detail Strong math and financial analysis skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Construction industry knowledge a plus.
