HR MANAGER SUMMARY Schiavone Construction, an affiliate of Dragados, is seeking an HR Manager who will be responsible for the execution of HR initiatives in support of key organizational and management challenges required to achieve the business goals and objectives. This individual will also be responsible for EEO compliance, employee relations issues, training and development needs, and talent acquisition and retention. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for employee relations; handles employee relations counseling, provides advice, counsel and guidance on personnel issues. Responsible for the onboarding process, including conducting new-hire orientations and accurate completion of the new hire paperwork and E-Verify for Corporate Human Resources. Responsible for reviewing 90-day new hire follow-up and exit interviews. Administer the employee health and welfare Open Enrollment process in Ultipro. Process payroll for the semi-monthly and weekly non-union employees using Ultipro. Stays current and maintains compliance on recent federal & state labor law changes and monitors labor law updates for changes that affect HR Communicates and implements company policies regarding all employee issues. Assures EEO program is in compliance with EEO laws and regulations. Conduct thorough and objective investigations as needed, assess risk and determines appropriate course of action, working closely with the appropriate Manager and Legal Department. Responsible for the management of the recruitment process for all open positions. Responsible for organization review/job evaluation, candidate screening, selection, offer and close processes. Works closely with management to implement and execute strategies to recruit talent. Works closely with management to assess and evaluate staffing needs and provides recommendations and guidance all employee compensation issues. Builds and maintains relationships and strong communication with management regarding search activities, support and closure. Builds and maintains relationships and strong communication with local labor unions regarding field staffing and labor relations issues. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in related field. Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) certification a plus. Eight (5) to eight (8) years of Human Resources experience. Strong business acumen and experience working within the construction industry a must. Construction recruitment experience. Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and familiarity with HRIS systems. Ultipro experience a big plus. Well-developed written presentation, organization, and editing skills. Strong negotiation skills and customer service skills. Ability to multi-task and work in high pressure environment. Strong organizational skills and very detail oriented. Proactive and solution oriented. Must demonstrate exceptional judgment, discretion and professional courtesy.
