DRAGADOS USA POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Title: Scheduling Cost Engineer Division/Department: Operations Reports to: Segment Manager Date: TBD Location: Central California FSLA: Exempt Summary: The Scheduling Cost Engineer will perform a variety of tasks and engineering duties by applying engineering techniques and analyses. The Scheduling Cost Engineer will perform duties in scheduling, planning, designing, and overall organization of the project within their designated Segment. This role will be responsible for planning and maintaining the project schedule and providing detailed time analysis to Segment Manager and other Engineers. Responsibilities will include: Prepare in cooperation with Superintendents and Construction Managers the plan for the work to execute. Create and manage the schedules in P6. Perform take-off of quantities and activities from construction drawings or other documents for creation of construction schedule Create and maintain construction schedules based on specific requirement from multiple departments. Prepare and submit to the owner a monthly update. Prepare the monthly invoice, based on a cost loaded schedule. Meet with the owner to discuss about monthly updates. Update, maintain, and revise monthly and weekly schedules and reports Compare, and report on comparisons of monthly schedules: Changes Delays Identify warnings and risks to the project for the purpose of mitigating the impact of these risks Prepare As-Built schedule. Prepare Time Impact Analyses. Analyze monthly schedules and prepare reports for the purpose of dispute resolution issue Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering 3-5 years Experience in Heavy Civil Engineering Construction Projects Advanced knowledge in scheduling software is required, including P6 scheduling software, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to Read and Interpret Construction Drawings Ability to Populate Schedule with resource and cost information Proficiency in quantity take-offs Experience with billing and project controls Experience with forecasting budgets Excellent technical and mathematical abilities Proficiency in excel and word software programs This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
