The Procurement Agent is responsible for entry and regular reporting on all merchandise PO’s which includes PO entry, cross-functional and regional communication, and regular review of status reports to ensure accurate, on-time delivery.




Including but not limited to:


  • Gather quotes from vendors based on Production’s requisitions
  • Accurately manage quotes to prepare comparative analysis
  • Negotiate purchase order terms and conditions
  • Manage and create all material purchase orders
  • Timely and accurate processing of Contracts, Service Agreements, Change Orders, and Purchase in order management system
  • Partner with Production teams to anticipate upcoming PO volume, orders, and cancellations
  • Track and manage delivery exceptions by working with Production and Logistics team to minimize delays, communicate unavoidable delays
  • Review open purchase order report exceptions and amend POs as required
  • Develop specific commodity objectives with an emphasis on cost reduction, quality improvement, technology development, on time delivery, inventory reduction, leadtime reduction and customer focus
  • Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values
  • And other duties as assigned




  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement
  • Procurement experience in construction preferred
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of purchasing procedures
  • Able to communicate issues effectively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience with JD Edwards is a plus
