SUMMARY The Finance & Accounting Intern works closely with the Finance & Accounting Department on various day-to-day projects, reports and activities within the function. The Finance & Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to apply their education to a professional setting, while gaining valuable experience and skills. In this role, the Intern will learn and apply our processes, and understand industry best practices and trends. This position also assists the Treasurer and Corporate Controller. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Compile and prepare accounting and financial information and spreadsheets Assist with processing accounts receivable and accounts payable activities Prepare invoices and perform account, general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations Assist in managing specialized information, reports, and forms dealing with fees, billing, and tracking of projects Adhoc Accounting and Financial reporting assistance Perform other related duties as required and assigned REQUIREMENTS Currently enrolled in an accredited Accounting and/or Finance Bachelor’s degree program as rising Junior (Class of 2021) or Senior (Class of 2020). Minimum GPA of 3.0. Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis Strong technical skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task and work in high pressure environment Availability to commit to our team for 12 weeks (beginning first week of June).
