SUMMARY: This role will be responsible for the overall environmental performance of the project. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES: · Develop environmental strategies that ensure compliance with Federal and local legislative requirements. · Lead in the implementation of environmental policies · Develop waste control/prevention programs · Reporting on environmental performance to internal and external clients along with regulatory agencies. · Identifying and reducing project’s environmental risks and costs · Keeping up with best practices and changing legislation concerning environmental issues · Directing public relations activities, communications, and education plans involving environmental issues. · Training employees at all levels of environmental practices and responsibilities · environmental documentation and monitoring reports REQUIREMENTS: · Coordinate the testing of all the structures and earthworks · Ensure that the construction matches what is defined in the plans anticipating activities to be able to achieve schedule and cost goals. · Manage testing and sampling notifications to the IQF, Concessionaire, ODOT, outside agencies (if applicable) as well as DUSA’s subcontractors · Witness and hold point inspection notifications to the IQF, Concessionaire, ODOT, outside agencies (if applicable) as well as DUSA’s subcontractors · Document Control (EADOC & DEMAR) follow up for completeness · Material coordination (delivery, reception and material certifications) · Quality assistance on the field · Off-site quality inspections at the manufacturer’s yard/shop if required · Pre-fabrication and pre-activity meeting set up for major construction activities · Provide assistance developing the quality section for the Corporate Monthly Report · Development and implementation of quality programs under the supervision of the Quality Manager · Give support to the job sites in quality issues · Other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS · High School Diploma or GED · 5 years or above of experience · Ability to make confident, timely, and fact based decisions on a broad range of resources · Candidates must demonstrate multi-tasking experience working in large teams and solving complex problems · Good interpersonal communication
