SUMMARY IT Desktop Support based out of our Costa Mesa office, with a focus in desktop support and reporting to the IT Manager in the West Coast. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with diagnosis of general desktop support issues and resolve them Help design and maintain software applications. Will often speak with customers to gather user requests for different features to improve speed, performance and usability of systems. Conduct system tests, troubleshoot customer issues and correct software defects. Creating customer software manuals and project documentation, and developing prototypes for new software technologies. Ensure high availability of enterprise voice and data platforms that support internal employee business functions and external customer contact. Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the operation of the corporate voice and data infrastructure. Serve as one of the primary points of contact for telecommunication carriers and service providers and coordinate circuit design, provisioning, installation and troubleshooting. Help design and maintain software applications. Will often speak with customers to gather user requests for different features to improve speed, performance and usability of systems. Also conduct system tests, troubleshoot customer issues and correct software defects. Other duties include creating customer software manuals and project documentation, and developing prototypes for new software technologies. REQUIREMENTS Hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: computer science, management information systems, software engineering, or a related business discipline. 3-5 years of experience in an IT department (internship experience can be included) Previous experience with desktop support and interacting with clients Requires strong computer and internet research skills Also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for figuring out how different software components work together Be able to easily work with abstract and highly technical concepts, as well as explain complex functionality to non-technical users and staff. Experience supporting Microsoft Technology, including Active Directory, servers, DB, etc Project management skills and the ability to handle different tasks simultaneously CCNA or NSE certifications preferred Dragados USA Inc., is an Equal Opportunity Employer
