The roles and responsibilities of this Document Controller shall be: Select, implement and manage the organization and maintenance of an electronic document control and document management system based on commercially available software. Implement a disciplined document control and document management process throughout the entire corporate team. Develop and implement specific processes for receiving and date-stamping incoming documents, logging, distribution, filing, review, approval and distribution. Lead any modifications required to customize the document control and document management system to meet awarded project requirements. Establish the interface with any partner external website or document control and document management system. Recruit, coach, train and supervise supporting document control staff as necessary. Manage the complete and accurate archiving of corporate documentation, specially bids and quality documentation. Participate in all 3 rd Party / internal audits as required, being fully cognizant of appropriate plans, policies and procedures and respond effectively to requests for corrective actions. Coordination with the partners/ clients to establish clear expectation of their respective obligations and input related to the control of documents when necessary. Provide timely communication to management with regards to document priorities, late submittals and overdue responses. The Qualifications for this Document Controller shall be: Excellent written and verbal communication. The applicant must have an acute attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously and with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines. Advance in Microsoft SharePoint and/or e-Builder Enterprise and/ or Business Collaborator and document control software. Relevant post secondary degree or diploma is preferred. 5+ years experience in document management, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role, in an engineering and/or construction environment.
