MLSoC is a joint venture between the College of Engineering and the College of Architecture and Urban Studies. Tenure home will reside in MLSoC within the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.

Virginia Tech and MLSoC are dedicated to inclusion, serving in the spirit of community, diversity, and excellence. It is therefore preferred that the candidate have teaching, research, and/or industry experience with emerging processes and technologies such as digital design and construction, human-technology interaction, smart buildings and building performance, automation, production systems, lean and/or innovative means and methods, robotics, semi- or autonomous systems, or mixed-reality technologies. An individual with a demonstrated potential or proven record of collaboration, scholarship, research funding, and teaching effectiveness, and who shares our core values of inclusion, safety, service and “hands-on, minds-on” learning, is also preferred.
