The Environmental Specialist develops, implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental.

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

? Assist with environmental permit application processes, maintain current permits and ensure reporting requirements are accurate and complete.

? Prepare and maintain Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Air Emissions licenses, and other environmental requirements.

? Prepare and/or review environmental submittals to comply with Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, RCRA, EPCRA and other federal, state, and local regulations.

? Serve as point of contact with all federal, state, and local environmental regulatory bodies and navigate multimedia environmental inspections.

? Conduct environmental inspections and audits of multiple manufacturing facilities and construction projects.

? Coordinate with local plant and project personnel to ensure environmental permit compliance.

? Monitor environmental laws and regulations that impact the organization.

? Implement Lane’s Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures.

? Communicate pertinent environmental information to all levels of management.

? Management of environmental documents in Lane’s Environmental Information System (EIS) and company SharePoint page.

? Manage environmental recordkeeping and reporting to agencies.

? Perform environmental training for local personnel on air quality, storm water, spill prevention and response, waste management, EMS, and other pertinent environmental aspects and regulations

? Oversee Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) and Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance initiatives and programs as a joint effort with the mechanical department.

? Develop Best Management Practices (BMPs), pollution reduction strategies, work procedures, and make environmental recommendations accordingly.

? Aid local plants and projects with community involvement.

? Other engineering duties as required.

? Travel as required.

? Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values.

? Other duties as assigned.
