Job Title:                                  Survey Crew Chief

Division/Department:                 Surveying

Reports to:                               Surveying Chief of Parties

Location:                                  Corpus Christi, Texas

FSLA:                                       Exempt

 

SUMMARY:

This role will focus primarily on daily management, supervision, and coordination of the project heavy construction

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Provides construction engineering and technical support to the project
  • Establishes and executes the engineering, which includes  the exchange of engineering information among the client, design engineer, and company project
  • Requisitions certain project materials, equipment and services on the project
  • Interprets the intent and requirements of the design documentation and information
  • Performs technical administration of contracts
  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable codes and standards for a project
  • Find potential issues ahead of time and be able to problem solve
  • Enforce site safety at all times
  • Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with Owners, Architect/Engineers and subcontractors
  • Provides computer guidance on equipment module
  • Investigates and evaluates cause and extent of damage to equipment involved in accidents.
  • Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Earth Movement Equipment , batch plans, excavators, loaders, graders, articulated tracks
  • Local knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Goal oriented – able to set goals and achieve them
  • Interpersonal – able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels
  • Organizational ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
