      Projects are located in southeast Harris County/southeast Houston.  The project is the Sam Houston Toll Road from State Highway 288 (SH 288) and Interstate Highway 45 (IH-45).

  SUMMARY:

Pulice Construction, Inc. a heavy highway contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager.  Design-Build, CMAR, Hard Bid or JV partnering project experience is required.  While working on the project site, this individual will take the lead role in contact with clients and partner negotiations, as well as be responsible for the management of employees working at the job site.  Experience and knowledge with construction practices in the southwest region a must.

 

  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Review, assess, and initiate action to maintain project schedule completion, track budget, and contract changes

  • Determine labor and equipment needs for job site, tracking of costs, etc.

  • Maintain regular verbal and written reports to designated employer, upper management, supervisor, as well as key representatives or partner team

  • Must have the ability and experience to prepare project schedule from scratch

  • Works closely with management to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations

  • Pursue, build and maintain strong relationships in the industry to generate and enhance business opportunities

  • Review project plans, requirements and specifications

  • Understand bid documents and assess project risks

  • Perform pre-construction duties; attend meetings with Clients and Owners

  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in project management within a construction or design firm
  • Local knowledge and experience
  • Capacity to organize and manage large labor teams
  • Extensive knowledge in the area of cost for labor, materials, etc.
  • Ability to review and address technical issues with solutions in a timely manner
  • Federal, state and local knowledge and experience
  • Ability to create and manage project schedule utilizing Primavera P6 software
  • Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Communication – excellent oral presentation and written skills
  • Goal oriented – able to set goals and achieve them
  • Interpersonal – able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels
  • Organizational ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach
  • Travel maybe required as needed.
