The successful candidate for this position will become a part of the Prime Contractors inspection staff and will assist the Quality Control Staff. This position requires the ability to pass all physicals necessary to make field visits and inspections of on-going construction under various field conditions. Monitors the construction work and work site to ensure compliance with applicable plans, specifications, standards, codes, regulations and requirements. 

Responsibilities also include:

•      Provide technical, full-time, on-site inspection of the progress and quality of the    construction work performed. Monitors resolution of quality related issues.

•      Supports receipt inspection of quality control program.

•      Assures that the construction work is performed and completed in accordance with the   Contract Documents.

•      Supports implementation of the quality control program.

•     Prepares daily oversight inspection reports.

•     Prepares quality control records including deficiency and non-conforming notices.

•     Assists in the preparation of punch-list and outstanding work items related to Substantial and Final Completion of the work.

•     Produce and input a daily log of inspected field work.

•      Produce daily inspections reports for all disciplines of work performed.

Requirements include:

•    Ten years' experience performing inspections on large civil projects.

•    Experience with civil work including, but not limited to, Mass Concrete, rebar inspections, seismic anchor installation.

•    Experience in utility construction, 72" Reinforced Concrete Pipe, 96" Pipe

•    Experience in Stainless Steel and Ductile Iron Pipe for water treatment plants.

•    Ability to wear personal protective equipment; meet physical demands of the position such as walking standing lifting up to 40 lbs., climbing ladders, bending, squalling and crawling.

•    ICC or relevant inspection certification for civil work.

•    Ability to work effectively under the direction of the Quality Control Manager.

•    Communicate effectively.

•    Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.

•    Excellent organization and documentation skills.

•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

•    Familiarity with the use of industry standards relevant to the work such as the International Building Code, the American Welding Society, the American Concrete Institute, and the American Society for Testing and Materials.

•    Experience in utility construction and piping construction (including large diameter RCP,DIP, SS,HOPE, etc.).

•     Experience with other civil work including, but not limited to, Mass Concrete, rebar inspections, seismic anchor installation.

•     Ability to wear personal protective equipment; meet physical demands of the position such as walking standing lifting up to 40 lbs., climbing ladders, bending, squatting and crawling.

•      Ability to work effectively under the direction of the Quality Control Manager.

•      Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.

•      Excellent organization and documentation skills.

•      Proficiency with Microsoft  Office applications.

•      Familiarity with the use of industry standards relevant to the work such as the International    Building Code, the American Welding Society, the American Concrete Institute, and the American Society for Testing and Materials.

•     Possession of, or the ability to obtain a California driver's license and ICC or relevant Inspection Certification

•    Monitors the construction work and work site to ensure compliance with applicable plans, specifications, standards, codes, regulations and requirements.
