The Engineer II assists in the design, supervision, and management of construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, and roads. Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.


Including but not limited to:

  • Estimates costs related to personnel, equipment, and material needs

  • Prepares proposals and establishes completion dates

  • Ensures that project requirements, goals, and plans are generated, tracked, and completed in order to achieve desired results

  • Maintains appropriate documentation according to established engineering practices, standards, and procedures

  • Accurately identifies and consistently incorporates key design requirements in product and process development

  • Makes decisions and selects appropriate solutions after reviewing all available data

  • Liaison to field supervision, including internal superintendents and foremen, as well as those of subcontractors

  • Carries out job duties while maintaining Lane values

  • Other duties as assigned
