Procurement Specialist, Charlotte, NC

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting the Estimating teams with all project specific solicitations. 


Including but not limited to:
•Identify and evaluate new vendors for heavy/civil construction projects.
•Maintain LANE’s database of suppliers and subcontractors. 
•Work with the Bid Team to review material and subcontractor requirements; solicit and compile quotations and then recommend purchases. 
•Prepare Bid Invitations utilizing iSqFt, LANE’S chosen solicitation software package.
•Document solicitations and follow-up communications with all vendors invited to bid on a project.
•Ensure that DBE/SBA solicitation requirements are met pre-bid and assist the Operations Team with additional post-bid solicitations as needed.
•Establish, Nurture and Maintain Relationships with vendors required for the free flow of information concerning market trends impacting the heavy/civil market.
•And Other duties as assigned.
