The Network Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, configuration, and support/maintenance of all internal and/or external networks.  This includes wired and wireless infrastructures. 


Including but not limited to:

  • Install, support, and maintain all network related hardware and software according to best practices; including routers, switches, access points, firewalls, load balancers, and any back end supporting applications/hardware (monitoring tools, controllers, deployment tools, etc).

  • Develop and maintain all network related systems, applications, security, and configurations.

  • Review and maintain network specifications related to standard hardware, software, and bandwidth by analyzing the business and security requirements, and end user feedback.

  • Monitor and test for network performance issues and troubleshoot problems when they arise.

  • Secure the network by developing network access, monitoring usage, and analyzing logs.

  • Remotely support regional data centers and field offices with some travel required.

  • Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan as well as all network related documentation.

  • Interact and develop relationships with vendors and other 3rd party contractors to manage projects and secure network products and services.

  • Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

  • Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • May lead and direct the work of others.

  • Carries out job duties while maintaining Lane values.
