The Engineering Intern is assigned to a company location for a 10-12 week, full-time, summer program. Each intern will be provided a Mentor who will assign daily activities and assist with training. Engineering Interns will be given a list of goals to complete throughout the summer and summarize their experience with a final Presentation.

Position locations include Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, D.C., North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, and California.


Responsibilities may include:

• Learn how to write RFI's and track quantities
• Assist with Estimating, Quantity Takeoffs, and Quality Control
• Night Shift experience
• Assist the Safety Manager with weekly audits, investigations, and toolbox talks

• Office and field administrative duties

• Become familiar with reading Plan Drawings

• Interaction with Project Foreman and Superintendent
• Working with the crew onsite
• Exposure to safety, survey and quality control tasks 
• May work with HCSS heavy bid, Bluebeam, & Agtek software

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a B.S or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Desires a career in heavy civil construction management
• Must be able to legally work in the United States on a permanent basis
