NYU Dept. of Civil and Urban Engineering invites applications for the Institute of Design and Construction (IDC) Foundation Chair in Design and Construction. The IDC Foundation Chair is expected to lead the establishment of the IDC Foundation Initiative for Construction Innovation (ICI), envisioned as an industry-supported center that conducts impactful, world-class research, educational, and outreach activities.

The ideal candidate shall demonstrate (1) extensive experience in successfully managing large infrastructure or construction programs, (2) a strong academic background in AEC, (3) the credibility to attract research funding from both governmental and private sources, and (4) a history of proven interactions at the highest possible level with government officials, heads of public authorities and large construction and consulting companies.
