At Lane we are constantly looking for ways to improve, enhance, and adapt in an ever-changing construction environment. That means finding superior leadership who can effectively incorporate strategies to help people work smarter. As the Operational Support Manager, you will be responsible for supporting, developing, and leading change and process improvement initiatives. Your knowledge of Lean methodologies will fuel productivity and drive culture and performance improvement focused on field operations.

This position will act as internal consultant to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes and policies to enable the organization to achieve its goals.  Successful candidates will be highly self-motivated and committed to achieving impactful and significant results.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Partner with management teams of different levels and functional areas to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities including project ideas and solutions; organize teams and drive improvement projects around under-performing processes

  • Manage and lead Operational Support Department; consisting of special projects management, technical training, and user support

  • Collaborates with a variety of departments, contributing to the development of new solutions for the field processes that maximize effectiveness while driving down costs across the organization

  • Use Agile principles to conduct and coordinate analysis that supports the field process and improvements, including technical and non-technical solutions that increase organizational goals to improve productivity for field operations.

  • Conduct User Group Calls to elicit feedback and share information with field users.

  • Drive continuous improvement process for operations functions

  • Field issue/concern point person

  • Assist/help coordinate with Lead of acquisition integration team

  • Carry out job duties while maintaining Lane values

  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills within cross functional teams with ability to manage and influence multiple departments/projects at the same time.

  • Lean expert and/or Six Sigma /experience with Lean Tools

  • Strong project and resource management and experience with analytical tools such as flow charts, cause and effect diagrams, run charts, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or Construction Management

  • Cross industry experience and plus, financial and organization knowledge is required

  • Demonstrated experience in managing/leading initiatives/projects, detailed driven

  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings, interpret and translate information to teams and report effectively to management
