Use technical knowledge and experience to provide Lauren with complete, accurate and competitive estimates. Works with Project Team to develop and prepare cost estimates for fabrication, construction projects, and/or engineering services for project in the chemical, power, oil and gas, and refining industries.

Essential Skills
• Coordinate all work with other estimators
• Understand estimating discipline knowledge to develop scope of work
• Have  knowledge of the units required to produce accurate estimates
• Stay current on actual units of construction costs
• Understand field conditions under which the work will be performed
• Realize difference between mathematical extensions of units and expectation of what the value should actually be
• Help maintain company standards and resources
• Communicate effectively within the estimating group
• Participate in regular estimating training
• Comply with quality standards and procedures through all phases of estimating processes
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the flow and logistics needed for the proper execution of the discipline portions of estimates

Essential Qualifications
• 2+ years of formal industrial estimating experience or field experience on industrial projects
• Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is preferred, but may be substituted with industrial technology training and/or field experience
• Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
• Proficient in Primavera, Microsoft Projects, Viewpoint and AutoCad is a plus;
• Must be willing to travel and work overtime as required by supervisor

Physical Requirements
• Frequently lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
• Climb stairs
• Sit for long periods of time
• Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
• Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects

Most work time is spent in a comfortable office. Work is often performed under pressure and stress, especially when facing bid deadlines. Occasional travel between the office and site locations is required. These worksites can be dusty, dirty, noisy and occasionally hazardous. Proper personal safety devises must be worn when on the jobsites (most sites require steel toed shoes). The Company will provide hard hats, ear protection, and eye protection devices.
