SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER

Salary Range:  $90,756 - $142,683

The Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department is seeking an innovative Senior Program Manager with technical experience for the Utility Engineering and Construction Division who will be responsible for supervising design and construction of water and sewer pipelines, water and wastewater treatment plants, power generation plants, and chemical process facility projects.  The incumbent will also serve as the Engineer of Record for specific projects. 

The incumbent will have knowledge and technical experience in the following areas: design engineering; construction contract administration; critical path scheduling and analysis; change orders; claim analysis and negotiation; asset management, condition assessment; regulatory support; sustainability; utility finance and economics;  research and interpretation of building and environmental codes (local and state); development of water and wastewater system master plans, operations and maintenance optimization; research issues and develop innovative alternative solutions to engineering problems, to include presenting advantages and disadvantages; and use of performance indicators to measure progress against targeted objectives and industry benchmarks for design and construction management. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management or related field.  A minimum of four to eight years of progressively responsible experience in large scale construction management; engineering/architecture project management; contract management; OR water and sewer construction or engineering project management to include three years in s supervisory capacity are required.
