Assistant/Associate Professor of Construction Management and Director of Construction Management Program

Utica College, a small comprehensive college in Upstate New York, is seeking a tenure track professor in the field of Construction Management beginning August 1, 2020, who will also serve as Director of the B.S. Program in Construction Management. The successful candidate will teach a variety of construction management courses. As program director, this person will act as the primary leader of the program and its curriculum. The individual will work with enrollment management and marketing to recruit students into the program, as well as with community partners to explore internship and experiential learning opportunities.

The Director will lead a department with a history of excellence in education and professional service. The department enjoys an outstanding reputation and receives strong industry support, including the support of an industry advisory committee.

Utica College faculty engage in teaching, scholarship, and service. As program director, the successful candidate will also provide leadership and help advance the department's strategic goals, foster the development and advancement of department faculty, administer departmental budgets, develop quarterly teaching schedules, participate in advancement activities, and interface regularly with industry leaders. The director has a reduced teaching load to support their work directing the program.

A master’s degree is required. An earned doctorate in construction management or related field is preferred. Industry experience and teaching experience necessary; academic administrative experience a plus.
